Senior environmental consultant > Environmental remediation

Responsibilities:

  • Development of environmental studies;
  • Projects on investigation/remediation of contaminated sites;
  • Water and waste management.

Position: Senior environmental consultant
Level: Mid-level to advanced (minimum 5 years of experience in the field; > 5 years is an advantage)
Specialisation: Environmental Protection

TECHNICAL AND ORGANISATIONAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Sound knowledge of environmental legal requirements applicable in Romania;
  • Experience / advanced knowledge related to contaminated site investigation / remediation;
  • Experience in the preparation of technical documentations on the investigation/remediation of contaminated sites (Preliminary Investigation, Detailed Investigation and Risk Assessment, Feasibility Study, Remediation Project, Post Remediation Monitoring);
  • Experience in the preparation of other technical documentations for obtaining environmental permits/agreements/authorisations (notifications, presentation memoranda, environmental impact assessments, site reports, application forms, etc.) is an advantage;
  • Very good writing and speaking skills in Romanian and English;
  • Ability to produce clear, accurate and concise reports;
  • Willingness to tackle new issues in the field of environmental consultancy;
  • Constant concern for raising the professional level of the individual and the project team.

Responsibilities

Active involvement in the implementation of environmental projects such as:

  • Development of environmental studies according to the environmental legislation in force in Romania or according to the client's requirements;requirements;
  • Participation in projects and specific consultancy related to the investigation/remediation of contaminated sites;
  • Projects related to waste management and water management.

Mandatory requirements

  • Graduate of an environment-related technical faculty in: Environmental Engineering/Geography/Geology/Hydrotechnics/Construction/Industrial Chemistry/Land Reclamation or similar specialization;
  • Good knowledge of English (at least level B2 - listening/speaking/writing, with the possibility of further training);
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office;
  • Willingness to travel within the country;
  • Driving licence: category B;
  • Availability for immediate employment.

VALUED QUALITIES:

  • Ability to work in GIS applications (QGIS, ArcGIS, Google Earth, etc.) and/or other professional environmental software (Voxler, ModFLOW, RBCA Toolkit, etc.), teamwork skills, willingness to progress professionally, optimistic, communicative nature.
