Client: Local real estate developer
Location: Brasov County, Romania
AUDITECO was retained by a local real estate developer operating in the central part of Romania to perform a detailed subsoil investigation at a former industrial compound located in the proximity of Brasov, Romania. The investigation was performed at the request of the local environmental protection authority in accordance with applicable regulations, and was a baseline for assessing environmental liabilities and further risk-based corrective actions at the site.
The site had a long history of operation as a large chemical manufacturing facility and was partly demolished at the time of the investigation. A gradual redevelopment of the site was intended. AUDITECO coordinated the execution of mechanical boreholes and trial pits and performed soil and groundwater sampling, with particular focus in known and assumed on-site hot spots.
Project deliverables included the preparation of a final report with comprehensive interpretation of field data and recommendations for a subsequent environmental risk assessment.
