AUDITECO was retained by a Client operating in the oil and gas sector to perform Phase I and II Environmental Assessment according to Ministry Order 184/2007 for 5 oil mines.
Phase I Environmental Assessments were developed for the purpose of obtaining information about the causes and the consequences of negative, cumulated, past, present and anticipated effects of the activities performed on the investigated sites.
Phase II Environmental Assessments were prepared with a view to investigating all the sites in order to identify their level of contamination with pollutants specific to the onsite activities as well as the main measures necessary for mitigating the negative effects upon the environmental factors. The site investigations included small and medium depth boreholes (manual and mechanical drillings), equipping some of the boreholes as monitoring wells, collecting a total number of 93 soil samples, 12 groundwater samples and 12 surface water samples.
