AUDITECO was contracted by a Spanish Client to investigate potential locations for the development of wind farms in Romania. The methodology to identify the most suitable locations for the construction of wind farms consisted of the preparation of desk studies, field trips to pre-selected sites, biodiversity monitoring etc.
The proposed sites were assessed based on rigorous and well-established criteria including land use, geomorphology, distance to housing, distance to protected areas etc.
The selection of the sites took into account the relevant legislation applicable to the construction of wind farms.
