Auditeco was retained by a Client to perform an Appropriate Assessment for a project focused on repairing a segment of a transit natural gas pipeline.
The appropriate assessment was required by the Environmental Protection Agency during the procedure for obtaining the Environmental Agreement since the project area partially overlapped two (2) Natura 2000 sites. The study was conducted following the guideline imposed by the local EPA.
The Appropriate Assessment was developed taking into consideration the requirements imposed by the Ministry Order no. 19/2010
The biodiversity monitoring methodology consisted of desktop activities and several field monitoring campaigns for recording habitats and species of community interest (plants, birds, mammals, invertebrates, reptiles and amphibians) on the project site and its neighbouring areas.
